Bogdan Fialkowski - Born in Poland, Bogdan received a Honorary Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts, Poznan, Poland in 1970. A successful artist since 1974, he has exhibited his works in both, Poland and Australia, has private collections in Poland, Australia and Switzerland, with one of his works being permanently displayed in the Vatican. Bogdan received a Keyneton Award for his oil on canvas landscape 'The Devil's Marbles' in 1985 and then proceeded to join Melbourne's multicultural art circle. Inspired by the rich colours of the australian landscape, Bogdan adopted the pallete of ochre, yellow and red often contrasted with his favourite cearuleum and cobalt. Bogdan's fascination with female nude led to a huge collection that is both seductive and sensual. These nudes are carefully placed in mysterious and natural environments as in the landscape of their own. Bogdan's paintings are characteristically full of texture, surprising colour and composition. There is a substantial shift in Bogdan's work shown on his original webpage "25 years in Australia". New form and composition become apparent, the attention to detail is distinctive.
