| Agnes Janich: The Way To You, a performative installation at North Bondi Children's Pool, Sunday, June 19th from 3,30 to 5 pm, followed by Artist's Talk at 6,30 -7,30 pm at Bondi Pavillion, Theatre Room. The project recollects a moment during the World War II, when a woman carried her wounded lover across the rivert to safety. Neither the 3-5 deep and 350 m wide river, nor artillery fire could stop her. The incident is parallel to the heroic effort of the Waverley Council Lifeguards & Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club members honorable actions of the Black Sunday in 1938.
Agnes Janich is an artist based in Europe - Geneva and Warsaw. She has presented her works i.e. at the Bergen Museum of Art, the MLAC in Rome, the Fotomuseum Winterthur, the 9th Sharjah Biennial and the MEP in Paris.
