Thoughts on Enigma and "Imitation Game"
Gary Hogan speaking in Ashfield
Sunday 28 June 3pm Mirror Hall Guest Speaker - Gary Hogan Retired Brigadier Gary Hogan AM CSC, former Head of the Australian Army Intelligence Corps and a multilingual soldier/diplomat/academic, will speak on “Enigma – Polish and Allied Cooperation in the Secret War”, a subject recently debated in the commercially successful film “The Imitation Game”.

Proud to be of Polish descent, Brigadier Hogan believes Poland’s essential pre-war contribution to the later code-breaking successes at Bletchley Park in World War II are too often overlooked. The Enigma project enabled the Allies to read Axis military and political signals at the highest level and had its origin in the work of mathematicians of the Polish intelligence service.

Brigadier Hogan, in civilian life, is the Director of National Security for KPMG and is a popular and highly regarded speaker on national security matters. Tickets sold at the door on the day: Adults $12 Concession $10.
